Report on College Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Use in New Mexico to be Released by Higher Education Prevention Consortium

Press conference set for Friday, Feb. 12 at 9 a.m. at MCM Elegante Hotel

Results of a report by the New Mexico Higher Education Prevention Consortium on student use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs at seven state higher education institutions will be released Friday, Feb. 12, at a press conference at the MCM Elegante Hotel, 2020 Menaul N.E. in Albuquerque.

UNM's 'Live United' Campaign Surpasses Goal

The University of New Mexico’s 2009 United Way theme, “Live United” was based on the belief that humans are all connected and interdependent. Extending a hand to one disadvantaged person in the community can influence the conditions of many others. To that end, UNM once again set a lofty goal of $1 million and surpassed it by raising $1,010,604. Additionally, this year, more hands were extended as UNM added 243 new donors.

MyUNM Portal and Banner System to be Upgraded

As part of a university-wide project, Information Technologies (IT) will upgrade the Banner system this spring. The MyUNM portal will also be upgraded as part of this project. MyUNM will be unavailable from Friday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. through Sunday, Feb. 14 at 12 p.m.
