The Teachers' Institute supports K-12 teachers
in the important work of educating children by improving teachers' access to knowledge in all the disciplines of the College of Arts & Sciences:
Seminars on content-related topics, led by A&S faculty, enhance teachers' content knowledge for teaching and support development of
new curriculum.
Professional Development Programsoffered in collaboration with other entities help teachers meet changing requirements for licensure and
advancement.

Conference on Writing The Teachers' Institute Conference on Writing, July 20-21, 2008, is a weekend workshop for middle school and high school English and language arts teachers. Time and space to read, write, think, and talk with colleagues and other writers.
