 The Teachers' Institute supports K-12 teachers in the important work of educating children by      improving teachers' access to knowledge in all the disciplines of the College of Arts & Sciences:
  • Seminars on content-related topics, led by A&S faculty, enhance teachers' content knowledge for teaching and support development of new curriculum.
      
  • One-day workshops on content topics spark creative teaching strategies.
      
  • Professional Development Programs offered in collaboration with other entities help teachers meet changing requirements for licensure and advancement.
      
  • Links to Resources help teachers find helpful and informative programs, activities, and organizations both on and off campus.  
      
  • Conference on Writing The Teachers' Institute Conference on Writing, July 20-21, 2008, is a weekend workshop for middle school and high school English and language arts teachers. Time and space to read, write, think, and talk with colleagues and other writers.
