| The Visual Resources Internship is awarded biannually to a student pursuing graduate studies in the Arts of the Americas area of art history. The student must be enrolled, in good standing and in residence at the University of New Mexico. Duties and responsibilities: The Intern will complete a project to be determined by the Bunting Visual Resources Library. The project must be related to the student's primary area of study. Projects may include: • researching or cataloging visual resources collections • developing indices and guides to the collections • assisting in classification system design for the collections • enhancing the VIRCONA database. The Intern is expected to work ten hours per week during the Spring or Fall semester. Stipend: The terms of the award will be $2,750.00 plus tuition remission and insurance benefits for the semester. Eligibility: Selection criteria for the Visual Resources Internship are as follows: • academic preparation and knowledge in the history of art related to the arts
of the Americas
• interest in or previous experience in special collections, archival or visual
resources work
• two recommendations from individuals familiar with the applicant's
academic and/or work experience
• a personal statement relating how the internship would benefit the
applicant's career, specifying the area(s) of the arts of the Americas
of interest
• legal authorization to work in the U.S.A.
