How to Apply to CELAC

Applicants must be at least eighteen-years-old, have a high school diploma, a GPA of 2.0, and have at least a low-intermediate ability in English. CELAC does not offer beginning or basic level English classes. Applications can be sent via fax for faster processing. There are two options for applying to CELAC: Regular Admission or Dual Admission. Below are detailed instructions on applying to either program.

Applying For Regular Admission

1. Complete Application Form
   • Click to Download the Application & Financial Guarantee Form
   • Fill out the application form & financial guarantee
   (Also available at the CELAC office)
   • Complete the application and mail it to this address:

2. Send Diploma
   Send original or certified copy of high school or university diploma (proof of graduation).
3. Send Transcripts
   Send original or certified copy of high school or university grade transcripts.
4. Send Translations (if applicable)
   A certified English translation of both diploma and transcripts is required if originals are not in English.
5. Pay Deposit
   Enclose a $100.00 non-refundable deposit ($50.00 will apply toward your CELAC tuition when you arrive). Make checks payable to University of New Mexico.

1. Complete steps 1-4 for Regular Admission (above)

2. Complete the UNM Undergraduate Application and the Financial Form for International Students.

3. Pay Deposit
   Enclose a $150.00 non-refundable deposit.Make check or money order payable to University of New Mexico.
4. Mail Your Applications, Financial guarantee , Document and Deposit to:
