Student Opportunities

UNM offers comprehensive financial aid packages, a large number of scholarships and grants as well as a variety of research and internship opportunities. Our students compete in a national steel bridge competition and a regional construction management contest. A student chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) helps students network with construction professionals around the city and state. |
Research
UNM faculty conduct a wide range of research in construction engineering and management.
Opportunities exist for both graduate and undergraduate students to work closely with faculty members on research projects.
Current research topics include:
• Sustainable design and construction
• Integrating design and construction in a fast-track environment
• Leadership skill development in the construction industry
• Safety programs for small contractors
• Pavement management
