Civil Engineering students must take two design technical electives from the six listed below.  Note that at least one of these design electives must be completed prior to registering for CE 499L; the second can be taken simultaneously with CE 499L.

The “non-design” technical elective in the senior year must be chosen from among the following:

Any non-required course 400-483, including a third course from the list of design technical electives above.

Students who believe that an alternate technical course in these or other departments would better support their professional objectives may submit a written petition to the Department Chairman in support of their request for an exemption.  Such petitions must be submitted prior to taking the course.
