The University Commencement Ceremony is the campus-wide graduation ceremony for students from all schools, colleges, and degree programs. The President of the University of New Mexico confers degrees upon all degree candidates at this ceremony. Bachelor’s and Master’s degree candidates proceed across the stage and are recognized individually. Doctoral graduates are hooded.  All students are welcome to participate in this ceremony.

The School of Engineering hosts its own Convocation Ceremony just for the engineering students.  For the fall semester it is held in the SUB Ballroom, and for the spring semester it is held at The Pit. 

About a month before the date of each graduation, the Dean’s Office in the School of Engineering will forward specific information about it to the Coordinator of Program Advisement who will then forward it to all students who are approved to graduate that semester.

You must sign up for your diplomas (click on Student Signup on the left).  By doing so you are supplying the university with the address to which you want your diploma mailed.  You must also sign up for the SOE Convocation Ceremony at the link provided in the letter from the Dean’s Office.
