Research:

Primarily quantitative, but with a profound respect and appreciation for qualitative methods. Surveys, especially online. Content analyses. To date, focused on newspaper sourcing for science stories and membership in voluntary professional organizations. Plan to expand into medical communication, especially patient-practitioner communication, media coverage of medical issues, patient-education materials, and use of new media by marginalized groups.
