Shirley-Rey Lovato
began in the spring of 2004 as the administrator for Communication & Journalism.
She also has served many years in administrative positions elsewhere
at UNM. She coordinates all office operations with staff, faculty
and students, is liaison to other departments, and works closely
with the department chair.

Mary has a combined role as adviser and administrator.
She works with our undergraduate faculty advisers in advising students.
In addition she works with our student advisers on admissions. Finally,
she reconciles accounts and budgets.
Sean Solowiej,
Broadcast Engineer

Sean comes to the department from a background
in film and new media production. His position as broadcast engineer
encompasses the
management of all of C&J's technical facilities as well as instructing
faculty and students to employ the most current modes of content
production and distribution. By connecting existing C&J courses
with
local documentary productions, Sean has brought the department an
Emmy nomination, a Bronze World Medal at the New York Festivals, and
credits in statewide broadcasts.
Jeanette
brings with her approximately 29 years of experience working at UNM
that includes such skills as Banner finance, designing, editing, and
maintaining a variety of publications, marketing materials, and web
sites. She also has experience using a wide range of software programs.
