Minor in Flamenco 2003-2005

Adobe Acrobat

(in printable .pdf format)

The dance program considers Flamenco not only a marvelous performative technique but also an important, historical dance form, as it has been practiced here in different ways since the sixteenth century when the Conquistadores brought their interesting Spanish folk and social dance styles. Flamenco dance has been valued for years in our curriculum, mainly because it seriously introduces our students to a way of life, as well as knowledge about an Hispanic dance form.
