FLL offers MA degrees in French, German Studies, and Comparative Literature & Cultural Studies (including a concentration in Classics), as well as a PhD in French Studies. With faculty and students who represent a broad array of interests and approaches, our graduate program offers a diverse and vibrant interdisciplinary atmosphere. From Sappho to Sebald, film studies to francophone Africa, and Kleist to Kristeva, FLL is home to a world of opportunities. Whether your goals are academic or professional, you can pursue your research interests in an engaging and stimulating environment, and acquire the critical tools you need to succeed.

All graduate students are eligible to apply for financial support, We offer MA and PhD students the opportunity to teach courses in French, German, Latin, Ancient Greek, Russian and other languages. Students are also eligible for Teaching Assistantships in other disciplines, including English and Religious Studies.
