Speaker Series

a regularly scheduled series of lectures and forums addressing critical community issues such as Health Care, Peace, and the Environment. check the calender page for dates and times.

Lobbying and Elections

lobbying the legislature in Santa Fe to return democracy to the people and adopt Instant Runoff Voting.

Service Projects

focusing on a different theme each month, the UNM College Greens will perform regulary scheduled community service. project themes for each month:

Weapons Research on Campus

uncovering UNM's ties with the department of defense and how public education funds are used to bolster the weapons industry.

Renewable Energy on Campus

collaborating with the Students for Clean Energy to conduct an energy audit of campus building with the intention of easing our reliance on dirty and non-renewable energy sources.

Recycling Project

coordinate with pertinent campus departments and individuals to expand the recycling facilities at UNM.  More bins, easier visibility, more awareness and promotion of recycling, etc.

$hopWise Project

produce an easy unsubscribe form for Albuquerque residents to sign that will remove them form the mailing list fo receiving the Shopwise circulars in their mailbox.

Greens in Iraq

To send a Holiday Care Package to an Army medical unit in Iraq which has a registered Green member in order to show support for the Americans who are deployed and to promote awareness of the Green Party to military members.
