Defusing Anger

 


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

A knowledge and use of anger management skills is useful for individuals in the workplace as they respond to a variety of stressful situations. Managing anger can assist us in avoiding non-productive thoughts, help in reducing the intensity of conflicts, and give us an understanding of anger as a normal emotion with the potential for both positive and negative outcomes.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define the components of Anger Management
  • Describe and define anger as a complex emotion
  • Determine where anger is a problem and anger management skills are needed
  • Use skills to change anger provoking thoughts
  • Apply the anger management techniques to at least one case study
