Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility

User Training:

User training is done individually. It is strongly suggested that potential users enroll in Chem 625. This course provides theoretical background and exapmples of NMR techniques. A portion of the course is devoted to hands-on training on the solution instruments.

Users who have not enrolled in 625 may still receive instrument training. Training is usually done on user-provided samples. Users may request training or assistance on any experiment possible on the ACs.

Training on the ASX300 is also done individually, on user samples only.

Training on the 500 is done individually, often on user samples. Individuals must be trained and authorized on the ACs before requesting 500 training.

Training/assistance is provided until the user feels comfortable running the spectrometer. Detailed instructions are available in the lab.

To schedule training contact the facility director.
