Teaching art in the Secondary School

Catalog Description: 
Philosophical, psychological, theoretical, and practical concepts about teaching art in the middle/junior and senior high school,
including observation of and involvement in art teaching situatins.

Course Description:  Experiences relative to developing knowledge and competency for planning, implementing, and evaluating art programs for
middle/junior and senior high school.  Inlcudes 20 hours of observation at a secondary school outside of class hours.

Methods of Instruction:  Class discussions, individual research, small group work, team teaching, studio lab work, field work.
