The Department of Linguistics at The University of New Mexico announces a tenure track position for Assistant Professor to begin August 18, 2008, pending budgetary capability.
Minimum requirements: Ph.D. in Linguistics. Evidence of research and teaching interest in Navajo linguistics.
Desirable qualifications: Native or near-native fluency in Navajo; documented experience in teaching Navajo and in Navajo language program development; demonstrated experience developing partnership programs with Navajo educational institutions.
Deadline for receipt of application for best consideration is June 2, 2008.
