The next Spring Qualitative Café Brown Bag has been scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, from 12 to 1 p.m., in rm. 368 at the College of Nursing. The lecture titled, "An Ethnography of Women Participating in U.S. Microcredit," will feature Dr. Rebekah Salt, assistant professor, UNM College of Nursing
Salt, a new faculty member in the CoN, will present from her dissertation work focusing on the factors that influenced her decision to use a qualitative research approach for this population.
In addition, she will briefly discuss her strategy for choosing ethnography as methodology, how she utilized ethnographic methods to generate data, and the value of reflexivity throughout the research process. All colleagues and or students are invited to attend. Bring a lunch and enjoy the discussion.
