Changing Dreams: A Generation of Oaxaca's Woodcarvers
by Shepard Barbash
Vicki Ragan and Shepard Barbash first documented the wildly popular Oaxacan woodcarvings back in the 1980s in their best-selling book Oaxacan Wood Carving: The Magic in the Trees. In Changing Dreams, they revisit the same families to show the profound changes—economic, social, and artistic—these Oaxacans have sustained. Hibben 105
