Giving to IMS The Institute for Medieval Studies prides itself in offering internationally recognized civic and university outreach events free and open to the public. The Spring Lecture Series has, for the last decades, drawn hundreds of audience members on a regular basis, who look forward to a four-day event that is based around a medieval topic. The Weekend Seminars on Medieval Science and Medicine are a further popular event offered by the Institute that focus on a more specific, scientific or medical topic. The Institute’s Outreach to Secondary Schools Program consists of three components that serve secondary school students and teachers alike: The Outreach to Secondary School Teachers’ Seminar, the Peer Mentoring in the Classroom Program, and the Peer Mentoring on Campus Program. All three components are offered for free with the exception of a nominal copying fee charged for the Outreach Seminar. Without support from a variety of funding sources, the Institute for Medieval Studies would not be in a position to produce these hallmark events. You can support individual Institute programs directly by making out your check to the Institute for Medieval Studies and sending it to us, or you can follow this link to the UNM Foundation and contribute to the IMS Endowment Fund. Either way, your contribution will aid in supporting a program that teaches us about our past so that we can connect with our present and look into the future.
