Introduction to Color Photography 288
This course is an intensive introduction to the techniques,
processes, and creative possibilities of color photography. In this course
you will learn how to correctly make your own prints using the RA-4 color
process. You will also learn alternative processes for creating non-traditional
color effects. While this course is meant to introduce you to color processes
and therefore must be somewhat technical in nature, the primary focus
will be on developing your own creative vision. This will be achieved
through frequent critiques, looking at photographers who use color, readings
on contemporary artists, written artist statements, and research into
artists investigating subjects related to your interest. (Prerequisite:
Intro to Photography 187, Visualizing Ideas 188).
