Omega Scholarship

Recognizing the unique needs of the traditional part-time student, the University of New Mexico has established the "Omega" Scholarship to assist and recognize students nearing completion of an undergraduate degree. Students must meet the specific criteria outlined below. The scholarship may range from full tuition and fees to up to $5,000. It is a non-renewable award.
 

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Have not earned an undergraduate degree

  • Have accumulated 120 or more undergraduate credit hours

  • Have a 3.0 or higher grade point average

  • Have completed nine (9) or fewer credit hours in the two most recent preceding semesters

  • Demonstrate financial need

  • Provide a statement indicating those factors which have prevented full-time enrollment

Application Deadline: July 31
Amounts vary

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must not have been enrolled in high school or in a degree program in any college or university in at least the past five years, and have accumulated no more than 12 hours in non-degree status in the past five years

  • Considered on the basis of financial need

  • Renewable for one semester
