Born in Glendale, CA, 1961
Studied at California State University, Long Beach (1981-1984)
Artist's Statement:
My work and especially the work I made at Tamarind is about an act, best
described by flat and overused words like spontaneous and improvisational. I
cringe at these words. My escape in this world comes through the act of music
making...a collaborative activity. These pieces are at their core an extension
of the act of making somewhat organized sound. The atmospheric considerations
and the linear line are the limited palatte which I feel comfortable working
through. The collaboration with Bill Lagattuta was a great experience for me.
His wisdom and knowledge and most importantly, his kindness created a dynmaic
environment in which to work.
