Funding Databases

UNM Office of the Vice Provost for Research.  Dedicated to providing the most current and useful information available to the UNM research community.

The Federal Register.  This lists all federal funding educational opportunities as they are issued.  There is a search capability too, so searching out fellowships is easy.

The Foundation Center, a comprehensive resource for corporate, private, and foundation-related information.  There is a subscription fee of $9.95/mo., but if you feel like making the modest investment, there's lots of information on fellowships here.

Feminist Review Trust
Applications are open to men and women of any nationality.
The Trust's main objectivesis to advance public understanding about the position of women in society and to support research to further this understanding

Guidestar.org.  If you don't feel like paying the Foundation Center, much of the same information can probably be gotten here.  Guidestar is very similar to the Foundation Center and covers the same ground, but they are probably even more comprehensive.  The downside is that there's a lot more work for you to do to get the information.  There's a search capability here, so you can type in "fellowships" and get a nice, long list.  You have to register if you want anything more than basic info, but it's free.

Institute for Women's Policy Research

The Institute will offer internships in four areas for summer 2005: Research Internship . Interns will provide administrative and research support to researchers. Duties include: literature reviews; assisting with data collection; designing charts, graphs and tables; answering phones; and filing. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, interest in policy research and women's issues; exp. with statistics, economics or social sciences through coursework.

Everett Public Service Internship

The Everett Program encourages students' future involvement in public service by acquainting them with the challenges and rewards of public interest work. Additionally it provides the public interest community, with the dedication, energy, and idealism that our interns bring to their work.
