UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

The mission of the University College is to provide an administrative shelter for intercollegiate academic programs. Each of the member units in the College is characterized by academic contributions in the areas of teaching, research, and service from faculty already established in more traditional colleges and schools, and they constitute a college through their common adherence to interdisciplinary approaches to knowledge.

University College comprises several intercollegiate programs and academic units:

• University Studies;
• University Honors;
• Native American Studies;
• Water Resources Program; and
• Center for Learning and Research in Integrative Studies (UNM-CLARIS)
.

The Dean of University College reports to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
