COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

The mission of the College of Education is the study and practice of education through teaching, research, and service. The College addresses critical education issues; tests new ideas and approaches to teaching and learning; educates professions who can facilitate human growth and development in schools, homes, communities, and workplaces, and prepare students for participation in a complex and challenging society.

The College of Education comprises six divisions:

• Educational Leadership and Organizational Learning;
• Educational Specialties;
• Individual, Family, and Community Education;
• Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies;
• Physical Performance and Development; and
• Teacher Education.

The Dean of the College of Education reports to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
