American Society of Exercise Physiologists

2011 National Meeting; September 22, 23, 24

Radison Hotel & Water Park, New Mexico Sports & Wellness, and The University of New Mexico

2011 Conference Theme: Empowering The Undergraduate and Graduate Students of Exercise Physiology

Welcome to the web-site for the 2011 national meeting.  2011 is the fourth time the national meeting will be in Albuquerque and consequently, will be developed by Robert Robergs, PhD, FASEP, EPC, and be partly hosted by the Exercise Science Program, Department of Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences of the University of New Mexico.

The 2011 conference will be like no other conference that ASEP has hosted before, or like any other in exercise physiology and related sports medicine fields.  The conference is all about improving the education, training and professional practice of our undergraduates and recent graduates who have or soon will escalate their professional status to become a board certified exercise physiologist (EPC).  There will be undergraduate and graduate student presentations and research poster sessions.  There will be content specifically for helping students of exercise physiology develop their own business after graduation, to develop skills in networking with Physicians, Dieticians/Nutritionists and Physical Therapists for patient referrals, and most excitingly, numerous hands-on sessions for further developing skills in clinical exercise physiology, sports physiology and the assessment of the components of physical fitness.
