Tours For Future Students And Their Families

Below you will find information about tours offered by UNM Recruitment Services. You can attend a regularly scheduled campus tour, request a personal tour for yourself and your family, or even for a large group. Please read on for more information!

Scheduled Campus Tours

Come visit the beautiful University of New Mexico campus! Your schedule will include:

  • A 50-minute walking tour of the University of New Mexico campus which offers a beautiful setting, with buildings in enchanting Pueblo Revival Style and expanses of grass and trees.
  • Housing tours designed to give you a sneak peak of resident hall life at UNM
  • An informational session with a university representative will help you learn about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, student life, and academic programs.

In order to receive a confirmation, please reserve your space at least one week prior to your visit. If you are requesting a tour less than a week in advance, please refer to our Walk-in Campus Tour program below.

Walk-in Campus Tours

If you are unable to schedule your campus visit at least one week in advance, we welcome you as a walk-in for either of our daily campus tours (Monday - Friday) at the following times:

  • Morning Session: Arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. (MST)
  • Afternoon Session: Arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. (MST)

Your visit will begin at LOBO Recruitment Services. We are located in the Student Union Building, Room #2002. When you arrive to campus, exit the parking structure and walk north along the pedestrian mall. The Student Union Building or SUB (#60 on the map) is the second building on the left-hand side, just north of the Center for the Arts. Take the steps or the ramp up from the pedestrian mall and enter the SUB. Once in the SUB, go through the set of triple doors on your right and Recruitment Services is the office to the left, #2002. Bring the ticket that Parking Services gives you to our office and we will validate your parking.

Group Tours

Scheduled group visits include:

  • A 50-minute walking tour of the main campus.
  • An information session with a university representative regarding admissions, financial aid, scholarships, student life, and academic programs may also be scheduled.
  • Representatives from our multi-cultural centers (African American Student Services, American Indian Student Services, and El Centro de La Raza) can be scheduled to speak to students as well.

Reservations must be made two weeks in advance.
