Intensive English Program on the University of New Mexico campus

• Conversation, Grammar, Reading and Writing classes offered at a variety of levels
• 16-week semester, 8- or 4-week summer sessions; Special short term programs available upon request
• Classes meet Monday - Friday from 9am-1pm (20 hours per week)
• Part-time study available to those not on student F-1 visa.
• Intimate class sizes, 8-15 students
• CELAC teachers have substantial ESL teaching experience in the U.S. and abroad
• CELAC is an approved SEVIS I-20 issuing program
for international students (authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students)
• Easy transition into University studies for students who satisfactorily complete the English proficiency exams and pass CELAC classes
• Part-time enrollment in UNM academic classes while in CELAC is possible once students reach advanced levels
