Agripino has taught at CELAC for over 3 years, mainly Writing and Conversation courses at all levels. He has also taught undergraduate courses in Linguistics and upper-level Portuguese courses at the University of New Mexico. Agripino is currently a doctorate candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of New Mexico. His research focuses on Language Change, Second and Third Language Acquisition, and Language Pedagogy. Before coming to the University of New Mexico, Agripino worked as an English as a Foreign Language instructor in his country of origin, Brazil. There he not only taught language courses, but also trained instructors and was the coordinator for Berlitz. He also worked as an adjunct faculty at the Federal University of Fortaleza, where he taught courses in English Phonetics and Advanced Composition. Apart from teaching and researching, Agripino enjoys going to the movies, reading fantasy fiction, and writing.
