Neil Patrick had his first English teaching experience while studying abroad in Italy, in 2005. With a friend he would exchange language lessons in cafes. This led him to serve as a US Peace Corps TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Volunteer in Ukraine. During his three-year service, he lived in the village of 1,500 people called Turya Pasika and taught English to students from 2nd grade up to university programs. During this time Neil Patrick developed a great interest in learning different languages and teaching. Currently, he is pursuing and MA in Educational Leadership focusing on TESOL. In his free time, Neil Patrick enjoys writing, drawing, practicing Traditional Kung Fu (Wu Shu) and Tai Chi, running, swimming, and photography. He also plays and builds violins.
