After graduating from Illinois State University, Susan began teaching at the ISU English Language Institute. In the fall of 2007, she moved to Albuquerque to pursue the Masters program in Linguistics and began teaching at CELAC. She completed the Masters program in the Spring of 2009 and is now working towards the Doctorate in Linguistics. Her favorite classes at CELAC include Advanced Grammar, High-Intermediate Grammar, Intermediate Writing, and Conversation classes. Her areas of interest include ESL, Chicano English, phonology, and language change. Susan loves working at CELAC, where she not only teaches English but can also share her love of grammar with students! In her free time, Susan enjoys sewing, playing soccer, cooking, mountain-biking and spending time with her dog.
