Extended University and UNM Branch Campuses

Extended University and UNM Branch Campuses

Distance from main campus may cause difficulty for students who want to enroll in graduate level courses.  If a student falls within one of the categories covered by the green card policies, a green card is required.  However, the processing is slightly different.

First the originating office advisor (Branch campus, or Extended University) completes the student and course level boxes and adds his/her initials in the OFFICIAL USE ONLY area.  If there is need for clarity as to the student’s or course status, contact the Office of Graduate Studies (505) 277-2711.

Next the originating office or the student obtains the instructor’s signature (2) and the green card is forwarded directly to the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) at the main UNM campus.

If OGS approves, the green card will be sent to the main campus advisement office for signature (3).  The campus advisement office is responsible for delivering the green card to the Registrar’s Office for final processing and adjustment to the student’s academic record.
