Hyperion Report How To
Running the OGS Admission Status Report from Hyperion

To access Hyperion:

Those of you who have recently been granted Banner access status should have Hyperion reporting status automatically added to your privileges. Those who have had Banner access for a while may need to add Hyperion status through the Banner Authorization Request (BAR) page. To do this, go to the BAR page (if you don't know how to do this, contact OGS). Once there, click the 'Students' tab:

On the 'Students' page, find 'Student General Reports Viewer'. If it is checked, you can access Hyperion. If it is not checked, you must add it to your request form. If you don't know how to do this, contact us.

Once you have access to Hyperion, you can reach it through my.unm.edu. Simply go to the 'Employee Life' page and click 'Hyperion', which is in the 'Banner Applications' box on the top right of the page.
Once in Hyperion, you will see this screen:
Click on 'Student Reports'

then click on 'Admissions' - This will bring up the following page:
Select 'SARHO001 - OGS Admission Status Reports'
Following the sequence in blue:
  • First click on a term. The report will begin at that term and incluce all applications from that point forward. (Even though the term you want shows by default, select it by clicking on it. This tells the program that you really want it.)
  • Second, click on a department to select it. If you need multiple departments, hold the 'Ctrl' key and click all you need.
  • Third, click the 'Click to Extract Data' button. This may take a little while, and during that time the cursor will be an hourglass. When it returns to being an arrow, the data have been gathered.

To print the report you need:

  • Then, click one of the radio buttons selecing the status of the students you want to see - Domestic, International or All. You must select one of these to print or extract the data.
  • Finally, click a button to select the form you want the data in, report, summary report or Excel spreadsheet form. The 'Summary' only reports 'All', and the 'Export' button will return the data in a spreadsheet. (After the spreadsheet has been saved, it is best to load it into Excel and save it as 'Microsoft Excel 97-2000 & 5.0/95 Workbook (*.xls)' format. This enables it to be imported into MSAccess.)
