  • Submit Non-Degree application and $10 processing fee (cash, check, MO, Visa, or MC) to the Office of Admissions, by mail at

  • Talk with an academic advisor regarding your plan of study. This is crucial if you are taking courses and attempting to apply these hours to a degree plan. For graduate students, each department limits the number of Non-Degree credit hours a student may transfer into a graduate degree program.
  • All students (with the exception of registration for Anderson courses) will register using the I-TEL-UNM computerized telephone registration system (246-2020) or by accessing the I-TEL-UNM web site. Instructions for registering are in the General Information section of the printed Schedule of Classes.
  • Tuition payments must be made by the published deadline in the Schedule of Classes (complete details regarding tuition payment can be found on the Bursar's web page ).
  • After you've registered, go to the Lobo ID office located downstairs in the Student Union Building on main campus (phone: 277-9970) to receive a photo ID. The Lobo Card is used to access materials in the libraries, Johnson Center (gym), Student Health Center, and Lobo athletic events.
  • Purchase a UNM parking permit from Parking and Transportation Services, 1621 Central Blvd NE, on the northwest corner of Central and University (phone: 277-1938), or online at Parking Services.
  • Purchase textbooks from the UNM Bookstore (phone: 277-5451) or other textbook outlet.
  • For more information, a UNM Graduate Catalog can be purchased for $10 at the Office of Graduate Studies or at the UNM Bookstore. Students can pick up the printed Schedule of Classes at either the Student Services Building on Main Campus or at the University College Advisement Center, Student Services Center, Room 140, or at the Office of Graduate Studies in 107 Humanities Building . Newly admitted students may also request a schedule be mailed to them, by calling 277-6044.
