You will need a UNM Net ID to provide access to e-mail, the internet, the UNM Portal, eLibrary, Parking Services, academic programs via WebCT, and other computer and network services.  Students employed at UNM may need access to university information systems (your supervisor will inform you if you need this access).  These accounts and use of these systems is free.

OGS regularly sends messages to all graduate students with “unm.edu” e-mail addresses only concerning OGS requirements and deadline dates.

ITS (Information Technology Services ) is the UNM office that oversees Net Ids, campus computer pods and a variety of other computer services.  Visit this link to set up a Net ID.
