| PNMGC Logon Procedures |

Mentors and mentees now have the ability to maintain their own information on the PNMGC website. Each mentor/mentee will have a Logon ID and password which will give them access to their personal information maintenance page. In addition, mentees can now make their preference selection of mentors on the web. Confirmation of the matches will still be done by PNMGC personel.
Here's how it works:

- New mentors/mentees will click on 'Mentor/Mentee Application' and simple fill out the form, including Logon ID and password.
- Existing mentors/mentees have been notified of logons and paswords assigned to them. They will need to click 'Update Mentor/Mentee Information' and change password and optionally logon ID.
- Mentees will be able to select preferences from the mentor biographies by clicking 'Pick a Mentor', then logging in. A mentee may select more than one mentor, although they will only have one mentor assigned.
- When a mentee selects a mentor, an email will be sent to the mentor, who has the option to accept or refuse the mentee. If the mentor refuses, the mentee will be notified by email. If the mentor accepts the mentee, an email will be sent to PNMGC.
- Once PNMGC is notified of the mentor acceptance, they will confirm the matchup. When this is done, emails will be sent to mentor and mentee acknowledging the match and giving contact information.

There are two ways to browse the available mentors. By selecting 'Mentor Biographies' from the left-hand column, you will be able to see the descriptions of each mentor but will not be able to select one. To select a mentor, you will have to click 'Pick a Mentor', then logon, then select 'Pick a Mentor' from the logon page. This will allow you to see the mentors as in the biographies, but each description will have a 'Select' button. Clicking this will initiate the process described above. |
