Jesse Reichek: Concerning the Mystical in Art.
The paintings of Jesse Reichek (1916-2005) have been widely exhibited and collected by prominent galleries and museums throughout the world. His large, richly colored abstractions, with references to the I Ching, Kabalah, Song of Songs, and the world’s great myths represent a synthesis of bold physicality and spiritual meaning unique in twentieth-century American painting. Drawn directly from the Reichek Estate, this exhibition represents a rare opportunity to view a significant sampling of work by one of America’s least-known but most respected masters. |

Gallery Talk - UNM Painting and Drawing Professor Michael Cook will lead a gallery walk through the exhibition Jesse Reichek: Concerning the Mystical in Art. |
