Regents Scholars
Fourteen
incoming students were recently selected recipients of the UNM
Regents Scholar Program, the most prestigious of all scholarships
awarded at UNM.
The recipients
are Michael Anderson, Aaron Brooks, Meaghan Danielson, Daniel
Darnell, Julia Dexter, Travis Gallegos, Matthew Hoffman, Tiffany
Lin, Paul Martin, Shannon OKeefe, Ambrosia Ortiz, Lauren
Rasmussen, Benjamin Riggs and Whitny Schluter.
Anderson
is a graduate of La Cueva High School and plans to major in
electrical engineering. Brooks, a graduate of Rio Rancho High
School, will major in biochemistry and philosophy.
Danielson,
a graduate of Albuquerque Academy, plans to major in biology.
Darnell is a graduate of Piedra Vista School and will major
in political science and mathematics.
Dexter,
a graduate of Highland High School, plans to major in English.
Gallegos is a graduate of Manzano High School and will major
in philosophy.
Hoffman,
a graduate of St. Pius X High School, plans to major in engineering.
Lin is a graduate of Highland High School and plans to major
in pharmacy and mathematics.
Martin,
a graduate of Del Norte High School, plans to major in physics
and mathematics. OKeefe is a graduate of La Cueva High
School and will major in behavioral biology, theater or music.
Ortiz,
a graduate of Mayfield High School in Las Cruces plans to major
in fine arts/music. Rasmussen is a graduate of Albuquerque High
School and plans to major in biology.
Riggs,
a graduate of Highland High School, plans to major in biology.
Schluter
is a graduate of La Cueva High School and plans to major in
biology and biochemistry.
