Women's
stress course popular with UNM staff
Maya
Magee Sutton, Ph.D, will teach the fall course "Stress
Management for Women," an offering popular with staff
past semesters.
The three-credit
course will be held Tuesdays from 4-6:30 p.m. in Ortega 123.
Sutton is the author of In Harmony, Resolving Stress, which
will be the text.

UNM
diabetes study needs participants
The UNM
Department of Internal Medicine is participating in a nationwide,
five-year diabetes prvention program for individuals age 50
and older.
The study
will examine the effects of two medications to prevent diabetes.
No charge and possible compensation.

Materials lab celebrates 10th year
The 10th
Anniversary Celebration of the Advanced Material Laboratories
building will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2
p.m. The building in the Research Park was built to create
a collaboration between UNM, Sandia National Labs and TVI.

about evening, weekend classes Aug. 13
UNM's
Evening and Weekend Degree Program (EWDP) offers 45 degree
programs aimed at full-time wage earners who want to continue
their educations.

at UNM Continuing Education, 1634 University Blvd. NE.
Academic advisors and admissions officers will be on hand
to answer questions. Students can also fill out and turn in
application materials.

Tamarind
featured on Antiques Roadshow
The UNM
Tamarind Institute will be featured on an upcoming broadcast
of Antiques Roadshow. Taping for the show took place in mid-July.
Marjorie
Devon, director of the Tamarind Institute, said the show will
feature Tamarinds commitment to lithography.
10th
year of music prep for kids begins Aug. 17
UNM Music
Prep School begins its tenth year of Saturday music classes
for children from birth through sixth grade Saturdays, Aug.
17-Dec. 7 at the UNM Center for the Arts.
