Conceptual
artist Gail Wight gives the first talk in the Gale Memorial
Lecture Series Monday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. in the College of
Fine Arts arts building, room 2018.
Wight works
with issues of cognitive science (neurology, philosophy, artificial
intelligence and linguistics). She holds an MFA in New Genres
from the San Francisco Art Institute and BFA from the Studio
for Interrelated Media at Massachusetts College of Art. Wight
held a residency with the UNM Art Technology Center Albuquerque
High Performance Computing Center Artist-in-Residence project.
She is an assistant professor at Mills College, where she is
creating a new program in Intermedia Arts. She lives and works
in the San Francisco Bay area.
