Dylan
Balch-Lindsay
Dylan Balch-Lindsay,
29, who has taught undergraduate methodology courses in the
Department of Political Science since 1997, and served as director
of the departments computer lab, died Sept. 1 in an automobile
accident.
Balch-Lindsay
entered the graduate program in Political Science at UNM in
1997, completed his MA in 1999 and then began work on a doctorate.
Balch-Lindsay
was recognized as a highly skilled methodologist and promising
young scholar. In 2000-01 he was awarded a Predoctoral Fellowship
from the Center for Basic Research in the Social Sciences at
Harvard University to research the public health implications
of civil wars.
