Arts alumni chapter hosts 'Breakfast for the Arts' Dec. 7
Learn about
programs offered through the College of Fine Arts (CFA) while
enjoying continental breakfast, performances, art, holiday cooking
and kitchen product demonstrations at Breakfast for the Arts
Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at National Restaurant
Supply Company, Inc., 2513 Comanche Rd. NE.
The event
also features cooking demonstrations by Jennifer and Craig Sharp
of Soirée Personal Caterers throughout the morning. Chef Jim
White of Casa Vieja Restaurant in Corrales will give a demonstration
at 11 a.m.
Tickets,
available at the door, are $15 single, $25 for two and $7.50
for youth 18 and under and UNM students. Proceeds support CFA
Alumni Chapter activities and its scholarship fund.
Ticket
holders can do holiday shopping and receive a 10 percent discount
for the day on merchandise from National Restaurant Supply Company,
Inc., which boasts the largest showroom of commercial-quality
cooking equipment and supplies in the Southwest. In addition,
there will be chances to win a convection oven, commercial blender,
20 lb. roaster, set of chef’s knives, cookbooks, gift baskets
and local restaurant and cooking class gift certificates.
CFA students
will showcase art, musical and theatre performances.
