'Spring Storm' blows April 12

Albuquerque organizations and residents will benefit from UNM’s 2nd annual community service project “Spring Storm” set for Saturday, April 12.

Hundreds of UNM students, alumni, staff and faculty volunteers will complete projects ranging from painting and landscaping to elderly visitation and youth education.

Sponsored by “The Community Experience,” an ASUNM executive agency, the daylong event includes a kick-off breakfast, sack lunches and evening barbeque.

Additional volunteers and supplies are needed to achieve the group’s goal of the “largest service project in the country.”

Staff and faculty who would like to learn more about this year’s event should contact Patrick Vigil, employee relations manager, at 277-2685. Vigil is available to speak to groups.
