Events
to air live on KUNM radio
Tony Hillerman
is the first in a series of noted authors set to speak at UNM
during "Voices of the Southwest," a summer educational
and cultural event sponsored by the University of New Mexico
Press, UNM Honors Program, and UNM Summer School.
Authors
will share their perspectives, answer questions and sign books
each Monday evening June 9 through July 14. (Authors will also
present the following Tuesday evenings to students enrolled
for one to three credits).
The Monday
events are free, however, seating is limited. Set for 6:30 p.m.
at Woodward Hall, rm. 101, guest authors are scheduled to speak
as follows:

- Max Evans, June 16
- Thomas Chavez, June 23
- Judith Van Gieson, June 30
- Simon Ortiz, July 7
- David Stuart, July 14
Stuart,
UNM associate provost and professor of anthropology, will also
serve as narrator for each appearance. He is professor-of-record
for those enrolling for course credit.
