Host
families sought for visiting Russian children
Claire
Nilsson, clinical social worker at the Children's Psychiatric
Center and secretary treasurer of the non-profit goup Belarusian
Children of Chernobyl, is seeking host families for Russian
children who will be in Albuquerque July 8 through Aug. 16.
The group
has organized local, six-week respites for children from Belarus
since 1999.
We
are bringing 12 children this year. We look for host families
in the Albuquerque area. This year we are still looking for
homes for five children. Four are girls, ages 8-12, and one
is a boy, age 11," said Nilsson who with her husband Jeff
also have a role as host parents for two brothers.

tours offered from student perspective
The University
Communications/Marketing Department will sponsor student-led
tours of the reconstructed New Mexico Student Union Building
(SUB) July 16, 30 and Aug. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
