Staff Picnic set for July 26
Explore
the natural wonders of the Rio Grande Zoo with colleagues, family
and friends at the 11th annual UNM Staff Picnic set for Saturday,
July 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Tickets
are $2 and go on sale the week of July 7. Children under three
are admitted free. Quantities are limited, so purchase tickets
before July 23 at all UNM ticket outlets including the PIT,
UNM Bookstore and cashiers offices.
Variety
is the spice of this years line-up. Fat City, a seasoned
dance band with a wide range of instrumentation, all-you-can
eat picnic buffet, Lobo Louie and Lobo Lucy, magic show and
face painters are featured. And if the stars align, the zoos
Western lowland gorilla, Asian elephant and giraffe families
may show off their newest members.
Door prices
include a one-year parking permit and gift certificates to Continuing
Education classes and local restaurants.
Vegetarian
burgers are available, but must be specified at the time of
ticket purchase.
UNM Parking
and Transportation will provide free shuttle service from the
G lot to the zoo from 6-9 p.m.
The Staff
Council Rewards and Recognition Committee and the Department
of Human Resources sponsor the UNM Staff Picnic.
