Democratic
debate set
The first
sanctioned Democratic presidential debate will take place at
UNM, in Popejoy Hall, Center for the Arts, on Thursday, Sept.
4 at 6 p.m., announced Governor Bill Richardson recently.
The debate
will be broadcast live on PBS (locally on KNME-TV 5), and on
Univision.
Notably,
this is the first bilingual Democratic primary debate in the
partys history and it is taking place in New Mexico.
The candidates
are Carol Moseley Braun, Howard Dean, John Edwards, Dick Gephardt,
Bob Graham, John Kerry, Dennis Kucinich, Joe Lieberman and Al
Sharpton.
