Arizona governor to lecture at UNM

Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano will be the guest speaker for the second annual Arthur A. Blumenfeld Memorial Lecture on Friday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Sheraton Old Town.

She will also speak to students and faculty in the UNM Anderson Schools of Management and School of Public Administration at a private luncheon at the UNM Student Union Building.

The Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series honors the life and work of Blumenfeld, former national president of the Government Finance Officers Association and former Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Albuquerque.

The evening event is open to the public with a cocktail reception beginning at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the governor’s keynote speech. Tickets for the event are $75. Tickets are limited. Email mchale@mgt.unm.edu or call 277-0880 to RSVP.

Last year’s Blumenfeld speaker was former Albuquerque Mayor Dean Rusk.
