UNM
makes best buys list
For the
eighth consecutive year, UNM has been named in the annual report
on Americas 100 Best College Buys® designating it
as one of Americas best college educations for the cost.
Institutional
Research and Evaluation, Inc., compiled the list from a survey
of 1,461 accredited U.S. colleges and universities offering
four-year undergraduate degree programs.
Of the
institutions surveyed, 1,086 schools responded. The survey results
showed that UNMs 2002-03 out-of-state cost was $17,864
compared to the national average at a public institution of
$21,308.
UNM President Louis Caldera said he was very pleased that UNM
was again named to the list.
I
am delighted that for the eighth year, UNM continues to be named
in the report, Caldera said.
UNMs
standing among Americas Best 100 College Buys demonstrates
a commitment to provide New Mexico students an affordable, high
quality education that is second to none, he said.
