UNM, NMSO present West Side Story
UNM Theatre and Dance, in a joint production with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, will present “West Side Story” March 5-7 at Popejoy Hall. This is the first joint production between the university and the NMSO.
Directed and choreographed by David Chavez, with the orchestra under the direction of Maestro Guillermo Figueroa, the production features two UNM students in principle roles - Christopher Orrell as Tony and Crystal Kellogg as Maria.
The production also features scenic design by longtime UNM professor John Malolepsy and lighting and sound design by Bill Liotta, who recently joined UNM from Tulane University.
Performances are Friday, March 5 at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 6, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 7, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12-$55 and available at the UNM Ticket Offices: 925-5858, at any tickets.com outlet, or online at www.tickets.com.
